We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and trustworthy Family Assistant to support a very busy household. This role will serve as the right arm to the lady of the house, assisting her with a wide variety of personal, household, and family management tasks. The ideal candidate will be a strong multitasker, have excellent organizational skills, and be capable of anticipating needs, managing a dynamic and ever-changing schedule, and coordinating with other household staff. Travel, both domestic and international, will be required, with the potential for a live-in arrangement and occasional stays on a yacht.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily personal and family-related tasks, acting as the right hand in managing the household and family needs.
- Handle grocery orders, meal planning, and food deliveries to ensure the kitchen is always stocked with fresh, healthy, and preferred items.
- Run errands, including shopping for household essentials, personal items, and more.
- Ensure the children’s rooms are organized, tidy, and well-stocked with necessary items.
- Manage and organize the wardrobe, including overseeing shopping, garment care, and coordinating with stylists as needed.
- Assist in managing and organizing the family’s storage areas, including closets, cabinets, and other household spaces.
- Provide support for the household staff, including working in parallel with nannies, housekeepers, and other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient household operation.
- Help with the daily care and logistics for the younger children (ages 2 and 4), including pick-up and drop-off at school or activities.
- Assist with packing and unpacking for the children, ensuring their clothes, accessories, and items are prepared and organized.
- Manage the daily needs and schedules of the older children (ages 21, 21, and 23), assisting with any personal or household-related tasks they may require.
- Coordinate with housekeepers and nannies to ensure that the home is maintained in pristine condition.
- Organize and manage the kitchen cabinets, ensuring they are stocked, labeled, and efficient.
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of other areas of the home, such as storage spaces, closets, and common areas.
- Manage inventory and assist with keeping track of household supplies, ordering replacements as needed.
- Assist packing and unpacking, including labeling of everything and have a system in place to ensure the family has what they need.
- Accompany the family on trips, providing support during travel, ensuring that all logistical details are handled smoothly.
- Be available to travel on the family’s yacht, assisting with organization, packing, and any personal requests that may arise during trips.
- Be available for last-minute requests, providing flexibility in both working hours and duties.
- Assist with personal tasks, appointments, and anything else that supports the family in managing a busy lifestyle.
- Be a trustworthy, reliable point of contact for the family, ensuring that all tasks and needs are handled efficiently and discreetly.
