Job Summary:
The Proposals Coordinator works with the Proposals Manager and the Business Development team to develop timely, high-quality and competitive responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and pitches. The Coordinator will be responsible for continuing to grow the team’s reputation in the firm by promptly, consistently and thoughtfully assisting with responses to attorney and client/prospect requests. In addition to drafting tailored content for pitches and proposals, the position also involves updating and maintaining approved language from practice groups, and other departments across the firm. The Coordinator is expected to develop a deep understanding of the firm, including service offerings, operations, business departments and risk management.

- Salary in the range of $60,000 – $85,000 dependent on experience level and geographic location***
- Assist in preparing responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, including coordinating with lawyers and other firm administrative departments and functions.
- Draft proposal content such as introductions, executive summaries, cover letters, and standardized responses.
- Create pitch books and qualification statements to include relevant practice group descriptions and experience in both Word and PowerPoint formats.
- Maintain consistent brand identity through document templates.
- Assist with content management of past and current proposals, as well as, updating and organizing standardized RFP responses.
- Assist with tracking pitch and proposal outcomes.
- 2-5 years of marketing, business development, or communications experience is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Prior experience working at a law firm or professional services firm is strongly preferred.
- Experience reading, analyzing and working on RFPs/proposals.
- Experience working with proposal generation software is preferred.
- Exhibit high degree of initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment utilizing excellent judgment, administrative abilities, and decision-making skills. Proactive and responsive with excellent troubleshooting, problem resolution, and follow-through skills.
- Possess excellent knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, proofreading, and formatting; Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Exhibit a high level of professionalism, efficiently follow written and verbal instructions, provide information, and maintain effective relationships with a diverse group of attorneys, clients, business professionals and outside vendors and contacts.
- Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to act independently and make decisions within scope of the position’s responsibilities.
