Rotation: 3x3 or as assigned
Reports to: Electrical Supervisor
Purpose of Position:
Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Educational Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Completed related studies program preferred, not required.
Experience and Background:
- Two years of electrical maintenance experience.
- Experience working in remote arctic environment preferred.
- Skills in locating and correcting defects in electrical systems, components and equipment.
- Team player with good customer service, communication skills and very safe work ethics.
- Must be able to read and interpret instructions & manuals.
- Have a commitment to excellence – identify what needs to be done and take action to achieve a standard of excellence beyond job expectations.
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work assignments, prioritize and manage multiple assignments and tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (oral and written), able to follow instructions and adhere to company policies & procedures.
- Ability to adhere to strict policy and procedures per company HSE program and OSHA requirements.
Certificates, Licenses and Requirements:
- State of Alaska Electrical Journeyman Certificate of Fitness
- Valid Driver License that meets ICE Services insurance criteria for driving.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card – preferred, not required.
- Must pass a pre-hire drug test, breath alcohol test, occupational fitness test, criminal background check and computer-based testing.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift & carry 65 pounds on regular basis, routine walking, standing, bending. There is a lack of immediate access to critical medical services as well as urban community services.
- Rotational schedule of at least 11.50 hours per day for a minimum of 21 days consecutively as required.

- Maintain and repair electrical systems as assigned.
- Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment.
- Check and maintain fire alarms in facilities and buildings.
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches and motors.
- Observe safety standards and regulations.
- Attend training to maintain and/or improve certifications and skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
