Purpose of Position:
ICE ICT is looking for a motivated professional to assist in successfully executing exciting commercial projects across the State of Alaska. In this role you will be responsible for designing, estimating, specifying, and implementing Information and Communications Technology systems based out of our offices in Anchorage, Alaska. This job requires technical knowledge of telecommunications industry standards and practical experience designing, estimating, and quoting jobs.
Experience and Background:
- Minimum of three years of verifiable experience
- Ability to plan and implement ICT installations while employing industry standards and best practices, resulting in reliable system performance
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365/Productivity Suite
- Knowledge of federal, state and local codes and standards
- BICSI/EIA/TIA
- NEC/NESC/NFPA
- Ability to create, review, and understand drawings, cut-sheets and schematics
- Ability to work within a design and engineering team to create turn-key projects
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to perform accurate site surveys
- Ability to generate test results and record as-built redlines
- Ability to travel to remote sites and problem solve with limited resources
Job Duties
The ideal applicant will work with the design and engineering team to provide support throughout the process of designing and implementing ICT projects across a wide range of industries and technologies. At times they may be required to aid in the installation and configuration of these projects but they will primarily be responsible for:
- Assessing the costs associated with telecom projects, including equipment, labor, materials, and overhead
- Providing detailed and accurate cost estimates to ensure projects are completed within budget
- Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Specifying the types and models of hardware to be utilized in various projects ensuring they meet the project requirements and industry standards for optimal performance and reliability.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of verifiable experience
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Pass background check
- Pass UA & pre-hire fit for duty test
- Valid Driver License that meets ICE Services' insurance criteria
- Ability to lift & carry 50 pounds on regular basis, routine walking, standing, bending
