As a Software Development Engineer in Test you will work with the Systems Analysts, Development, and QA to understand the business/product requirements, system requirements and test scenarios respectively, related to the applications to build or modify the automation framework. You will be responsible for maintaining these frameworks by following the current standards along with coordinating test execution, training users and providing user support.

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for maintaining these frameworks by following the current standards along with coordinating test execution, training users and providing user support.
Responsibilities
- Work with industry leading test automation tools: Cypress utilizing JavaScript, Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Micro Focus LeanFT, and Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM); Selenium utilizing Java and Python; Custom Python Frameworks; Watir with Ruby; SoapUI and other API testing tools.
- Work with technology team in building cutting edge Clearing systems.
- Testing in a multi-tiered based architecture featuring Java and JavaScript architectures (JavaScript architectures tested will include extJS, JQuery, Oracle APEX, and ReactJS).
- Testing applications deployed through web browsers and containers such as Electron.
- Gain experience with iterative and Agile software development methodologies.
- Perform troubleshooting software / hardware configuration problems.
- Develop critical testing skills and work side by side with an experienced QA team.
- Develop a strong background in building automated testing architectures / frameworks.
- Experience participating in all aspects of a full-life cycle development methodology, and related quality concepts and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline
- Master’s degree or three plus years of experience with QA Automation tools such as UFT, Cypress, Selenium, or SoapUI, or other applicable scripting experience
- Track record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of quality
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in UNIX/Linux and SQL/Oracle environments
- Able to set priorities and multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Able to work independently and productively under pressure
- Good technical and troubleshooting skills
- Good organizational skills and decision making ability
