Packing Supervisor

Icebox Pantry operates a USDA certified food facility specializing in food production for business applications. We currently operate in commercial commissaries in South Florida and Atlanta.

Job Title: Packing Supervisor
Location: Hallandale Beach, FL
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager
Hours: 35–45 hours per week (flexible schedule required)

Position Summary

The Packing Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring that Icebox Pantry’s products are packed, labeled, and prepared for delivery accurately and efficiently. This position is responsible for overseeing all packers, and ensuring that all clients receive the correct items ordered as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities

· Select and pack all products per client as ordered.

· Organize products by SKU and verify each product has the correct label and date.

· Check product counts against packing slips and ensure accuracy.

· Pre-label containers and place routing/delivery forms on each order.

· Organize packed products for each order and delivery run.

· Complete all required forms daily and accurately.

· Oversee quality control, inspecting packed items to ensure they meet food safety and company standards.

· Communicate clearly and consistently to ensure that the job is done accurately.

· Communicate with any questions, doubts, concerns to ensure that the job is done accurately.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.

· May assist with weighing, loading, and stock of packaging materials.

Skills and Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED (preferred).

· Minimum 1 year of experience in food service, manufacturing, packing, or logistics (preferred).

· Active SERV Safe certification (preferred).

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

· Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

· Knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols.

· Physical stamina: must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to write legibly and document information properly.

· Team-oriented, reliable, and detail-focused.

· Speak English and Spanish.

Starting at $18.00 an hour depending on experience
