Job Summary

The Graphic Designer role requires a mix of creativity, leadership, and technical expertise to deliver visually compelling work that drives engagement and achieves business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling and possess strong design skills to create high-quality graphics for digital and print media. As a Graphic Designer, you will work closely with clients and team members to conceptualize and produce creative designs that align with brand identities and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Conceptualizing and designing visual elements for a variety of media, including websites, social media, advertisements, brochures, logos, packaging, and more.

Collaborating with marketing teams, clients, and other designers to develop design solutions that meet project goals.

Creating layouts, mockups, and prototypes to present design concepts to clients or team members.

Selecting colors, fonts, images, and other design elements that fit the project’s vision and brand identity.

Ensuring consistency of design elements across multiple platforms and marketing materials.

Revising and updating existing designs based on feedback from clients, marketing teams, or supervisors.

Preparing files for print and digital production, ensuring they are optimized and meet the required specifications.

Staying current with industry trends in design, digital tools, and software to continually improve skills.

Basic Qualifications

Must reside in the United States and work must be performed in the United States.

B.S. in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.

5 years of professional design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Local government experience.

Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and branding principles.

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other relevant tools.

Professional Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate complex data and insights in a clear and actionable manner.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
