What to Expect (Job Responsibilities) :

  • Lead and oversee projects related to transmission network upgrades in MISO and SPP markets
  • Perform and review power flow simulations of the interconnection queue process in MISO, SPP, and PJM
  • Advise clients on optimal interconnection strategies based on simulation results
  • Provide insights into Midwest power market trends, pricing, and regulatory developments
  • Mentor and coordinate with remote junior staff to foster growth and knowledge sharing

    • What is Required (Qualifications) :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the North American electric power sector, including market analysis and forecasting
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • At least 3 years of fluency in power flow assessment packages (PowerGEM TARA, GE-PSLF, PSS-E, or PowerWorld)
  • Strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of SPP, MISO, and PJM markets, transmission systems, and regulatory frameworks

    • How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) :

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • 5 years in the North American electric power sector, including market analysis and forecasting
  • Experience in power markets management and interconnection and transmission consulting
  • Project and people management experience
  • Advanced MS Office capabilities
