Description
The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for performing and directing all office activity for daily operations of the physician practice, including scheduling and supervising all practice staff and serving as the primary contact person for the doctor, Director of Operations and all outside vendors on issues concerning the office. The Coordinator will also work as a MOA and assist in primary healthcare support. Has full access to patient health information. Responsible for the enforcement of Iredell Health System’s policies and Iredell Physician Network’s policies.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must be a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or have successfully completed the Assessment-based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) program through the American Association of Medical Assistants. The certifications/registrations/recognition must be current and updated before the expiration date).
BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
At least three years related medical office experience with working knowledge of Microsoft, electronic medical records, and basic accounting procedures.
Ability to train, instruct and perform essential medical office functions.
