JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
The Network Administrator is responsible for the overall performance and availability of the network. He / She will be required to install, configure and maintain organization’s network. He / She must be able not only to test and evaluate the network system to eliminate problems and make improvements, but also recommend upgrades / changes and assess the organization’s current and future network needs.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to :
- Installs, configures, and maintains the organization's network
- Forecasts and adjusts for peaking loads through the proactive use of network diagnostic and predictive tools
- Troubleshoots problems as reported by users and automated network monitoring systems and make recommendations for enhancements in the constructions of future servers and other network appliances and transport media
- Establishes and administers user and group profiles and password management in accordance with departmental policies and directives
- Diagnoses and resolves hardware resources to insure maximum system up-time and the highest level of availability possible
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment
- Performs all other duties as may be required by Management
