Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the direction of the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the banquets department and staff. Ensures the highest level of service by executing the requirements of events based on Seminole Coconut Creek Casino’s banquet department standard operating procedures (SOP). Drives customer satisfaction and capitalizes on revenue up-sell opportunities during the Event Phase of a function. Acts as a liaison for the banquet department between F&B, Marketing, Culinary, IT, and the Facilities team maintaining open lines of communication to provide guests the highest level of service. The Banquet Supervisor needs to be engaged on the floor and be hands on consistently providing personalized and quality service. Number of hours and day off will be subject to business demand.
Qualifications
- College degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred with one year of administrative experience required, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous banquet experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Computer literate with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required, previous experience with Kronos, MMS Stratton Warren preferred
- Possess proficient mathematical skills to include the ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide
- Ability to multi-task with solid time management skills in non-standard situations where some judgment must be exercised
- Detail oriented, with outstanding communication, writing and proof-reading abilities
- Ability to work proactively and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment
- High level of self-direction, self-motivation, and energy
- Present an image of excitement and enthusiasm with a friendly and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance
- Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals
- Demonstrate extraordinary customer service skills with effective listening skills
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to independently maintain high levels of productivity
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests in English, specific to positions duties and responsibilities
