What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environment, Health and Safety Manager position at ICL Group?
As the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for the management of ICL Growing Solutions Fresno, CA Environmental, Safety, Health, Security and Training programs. The responsibilities include actively participating in and supporting the environmental safety and health initiatives established by ICL North Americas, leading continual improvement in the facilities Responsible Care management systems, participating in EHSS compliance audits, meeting business commitments, and providing effective internal and external communication.

- Ensure EHSS compliance through working closely with corporate EHSS, Production, Quality and R&D staff.
- Lead continual improvement of the ISO and Responsible Care 14001 Management System.
- Lead Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) implementation at the site and support a focus on operational learning.
- Lead site implementation of global EHSS tools including Enablon and GOARC.
- Serve as liaison with local, state, and federal representatives from regulatory agencies including Cal-OSHA, San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, DTSC, EPA, DOT, DHS, and local fire department.
- Evaluate EHSS impacts for change management throughout operations.
- Maintain and ensure environmental compliance for site Air Permit, storm water, SPCC and hazardous waste.
- Oversee submission of permit applications (air and/or water and/or waste) and reports as required by environmental regulations.
- Provide facility EHSS focus through the development and completion of annual EHSS work plan plans and support Process Safety, JHAs and EHSS inspections/audits.
- Develop, conduct, and evaluate required EHSS training for all employees.
- Ensure accurate EHSS record keeping (e.g., medical records, OSHA Log, WC)
- Drive culture of early detection of hazards and learning from events to build defenses and minimize incidents.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
At ICL, maintaining a safe and healthy workplace is a top priority. Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE based on the task and environment. This may include safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face masks, and, when necessary, full hazmat suits with respirators. Adherence to PPE protocols ensures the safety and well-being of all team members.
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- BS degree in Occupational/Environmental Health or related field required.
- A minimum of 3 years of direct experience in occupational and environmental health required.
- Occupational and environmental health experience in the chemical or fertilizer industry preferred.
- Previous management experience in an industrial and chemical manufacturing atmosphere
- In-depth knowledge of all safety, environmental and health regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

- Experience in managing Cal-OSHA Process Safety Management regulations.
Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $82,000 - $113,000
