HR Manager, US

ICL has an exciting opportunity to lead the HR function at our Lawrence, KS manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will have background that will allow them to provide HR direction and oversite to the plant leadership team and take responsibility for all HR duties for the 145-person unionized site. As the HR Manager, you will be a key member of the North American HR team embedded with the local business management, providing generalist HR guidance and support, driving the achievement of business goals through workforce development. This position will serve as part of the plant leadership team as a matrix report to the Plant Manager and a direct report to the VP, Regional HRM. Additionally, this position will have responsibility for one or more off-site locations or business units within North America.

• A key member the HR team embedded amongst local business management, providing generalist HR guidance & support
• Consultant to management regarding events in employee cycle – recruitment, engagement, promotion, transfer, disciplinary, LOA and terminations
• Acts as a consultant and partner in driving and implementing organizational design, transformation, change management, talent management, total rewards, workforce planning, employee relations strategies and policies
• Developing Talent – support talent acquisition, training, onboarding, and team development
• Labor Relation – Responsible for on-going and overall management of working relationship with labor union, including administration of the collective bargaining agreement
• Ensure utilization of all HR systems (Success Factors Suite) by managers
• Provide leadership in community relations outreach & activities
• Perform other various local duties (i.e. unemployment claims, personnel file maintenance, reporting, employee engagement activities, etc.)
• Will participate in regional & global HR teams that includes project work and will require limited travel domestically and might include an occasional international trip
• Supervise and develop the HR Assistant/Office Administrator

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with a concentration in a Human Resources area preferred. A SHRM certification may be substituted for the degree
• 3 years HR Generalist experience or 8 years of progressively more responsible business leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong influence skills, professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Must be a team player and have the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
• Detail oriented with proven advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills required
• Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).

Salary Range: $90,000 - $143,000

Annual Bonus Target: 12%, subject to plan provisions.
