What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Operator position at ICL Group?
As the Lead Operator, you will serve as the production operator. This position will operate in 3 fertilizer coating lines which goes from raw material to packaging, and then to warehousing.
ICL Specialty Fertilizers has a manufacturing plant in North Charleston, SC. The facility manufactures controlled-release fertilizer brands Osmocote®, Agroblen®, and Agrocote®. The sites run on a 24 x 6 basis and shifts assignments are on a 12-hour basis that does involve occasional overtime, weekends, and holiday coverage as necessary.
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry.
- Willing and able to work 12 hour night and day shifts including occasional overtime, weekends, and provide shift coverage as necessary.
- Capable of serving as the production leader to ensure all coating and blending are operating as intended.
- Demonstrated ability to safely perform all project tasks with quality.
- The understanding and ability to promote continuous improvements.
- A fast learner of complex production environments with the ability to troubleshoot.
- Proven ability to multi-task while staying productive, adaptive, and self-motivated.
- Can effectively coordinate and plan with available resources.

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Annual Bonus Target: 3%, subject to plan provisions.
