As the Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for developing advanced production plans and managing inventory levels for third-party tolling, intercompany transfer products, and processing work orders/production orders for these third-party tolling sites. This position will ensure efficient production scheduling, optimize inventory levels, and coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve production goals, while also taking a leadership role in improving planning processes and systems.
Location: Preference to be in the greater Charleston, South Carolina area.

- Develop and implement advanced production plans for third-party tolling and intercompany transfer products.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet production and customer demands.
- Process work orders and production orders for third-party tolling sites.
- Coordinate with third-party tolling sites to ensure timely production and delivery.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, logistics, and sales, to ensure smooth production operations.
- Prepare reports and provide insights on production performance and inventory levels.
- Lead initiatives to enhance planning processes, tools, and systems.
- Materials forecasting for short- and long-term business needs.
- Travel up to 10% of the time to third-party tolling sites.
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- B.S. degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field or lieu of a degree, 8 years of related experience.
- 3 years’ experience in production planning
- 5 years’ experience with inventory management.
- 5 years’ experience in materials planning.
- Experience scheduling transportation collections within TMS.
- Prior experience with planning functions of ERP systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s, basic math formulas).
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time to third party-tolling sites.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills.
What will set me apart?
- Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
- Experience with ocean transport.
- Experience with QAD and SAP ERP systems.
- Experience with Sheertrans or similar TMS systems.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in a chemical or related industry.
Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $66,000 - $90,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
Annual Bonus Target: 5%, subject to plan provisions.
