POSITION PURPOSE :
The Field Specialist I is responsible for providing field leadership assistance to ICM and subcontracted crews to ensure projects meet goals related to schedule and budget. The Field Specialist will also visit plants with Account Managers and help increase department revenue.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES :
- Assist with monitoring and controlling project execution and delivery through management of personnel and resources to ensure project is completed safely, on schedule and within budget parameters,
- Assist with providing customer with scope of work, estimate, relevant drawings, and schedule to successfully complete the shutdown based on customer requests and ICM recommendations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine corrective action and arrange for plant shut-downs when necessary.
- Assist the start-up and commissioning of equipment and training of the plant personnel.
- Assist with monitoring work performance and productivity of sub contractors as assigned to ensure project rules, procedures and safety requirements are maintained.
- Communicate regularly with onsite Maintenance Manager to resolve conflicts and negotiate scope of work changes. Serve as main contact for all status updates, additional labor requests, and material and equipment needs.
- Direct all demobilization efforts including calling off equipment and returning unused parts.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation for each project in Procore.
- Make sales calls to current and prospective customers, as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and general support functions to ICM customers.
- Provide on call emergency response at all times.
Education / Certification : High school diploma or equivalent required
Required Knowledge & Experience :
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION :
80% travel may be required, especially during spring and fall shutdown season. May be exposed to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme hot and cold depending on weather conditions. May be required to work in high, precarious places and be at risk for electrical shock.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH :
This job may require lifting of up to 25 pounds regularly.
