COMPUTER SCIENCE LAB MENTOR - Summer Camps
Position Overview
Looking for High School or College Students to join us for an exciting opportunity to help teach K-9 students fundamentals of computer science and programming. The lab mentor is responsible for intuitively helping students individually while instructors are delivering iCode curriculum. They will help create a fun learning experience for the students. This is a great job opportunity for a high school or college student to gain relevant work experience and develop soft skills and leadership skills. Flexible hours.
Classroom management and curriculum training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Help teach and educate students according to curriculum and guidelines provided by iCode.
- Manage a fun and orderly classroom at all times.
- Provide feedback about class material and student dynamics in weekly status reports.
- Provide weekly communication and updates to parents.
Qualifications
- Have a positive attitude, outgoing personality, and possess good interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate hobbies such as robotics, gaming, coding, or digital arts.
- Able and excited to work with students ranging from K-9.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience in computing languages such as Scratch, HTML, or Python.
- Experience in tutoring, working with students in a camp setting a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
