Role Overview
The Tour Marketing Director will lead the team in developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns for nationally booked theater and arena tours. This role is essential for supporting our artist agency, management partners, and venue marketers, providing best-in-class service, and cultivating strong relationships. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a deep understanding of live entertainment marketing and a passion for comedy.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary internal contact for artist management teams regarding ICON Concert tours.
- Develop relationships with external partners, including artists, managers, agents, talent buyers, and venue marketers.
- Create and execute comprehensive marketing plans for tours and shows.
- Oversee marketing budgets and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful campaign execution.
- Manage advertising, promotions, media events, PR initiatives, and content creation.
- Lead the development of tour assets, including radio spots, TV spots, video spots, and digital creative.
- Negotiate advertising rates contracts and explore sponsorship and non-traditional media opportunities.
- Establish and nurture local marketing and advertising partnerships for promotional and trade opportunities.
- Mentor marketing team members, fostering professional growth and development.
