Job Description Summary: The Plant Cost and Asset Controller will be responsible for the detailed analysis of site costs at the manufacturing site or profit center level. This role focuses on improving cost management practices, supporting site management in controlling on-site inventory, assets, and spare parts. Key responsibilities will include providing cost reporting, data analysis, and asset management discipline. This position also supports the identification of opportunities for efficiency improvements and aids in Investment Management to review asset performance against expectations. The Plant Cost and Asset Controller will work closely with multiple teams, including Operations Control, Financial Reporting, Manufacturing, and others.
Responsibilities:
- Costs and Inventory Analysis:
- Facilitate site leaders in analyzing the evolution of monthly costs, identifying trends, and ensuring costs remain within the operations control budget.
- Support site management in achieving cost optimization goals through the site-level efficiency program.
- Ensure accurate cycle counts and biannual physical counts, aligned with Internal Control requirements and supervised by Entity Finance.
- Provide detailed inventory, mobile asset, and consumable spare-parts consumption analysis, with explanations for deviations, in close collaboration with the finance and operations control teams.
- Develop and implement standardized processes for spare parts consumption management.
- Assist in the review of investment benefits realization with the Investment Director, Ops Control, and site management.
- Review exception reports from SAP and work with site management to ensure data quality and reliable information streams.
- Help monitor product profitability at the site level in coordination with Ops Control.
- Collaborate with the entity finance manager to ensure accurate cost allocation across cost centers and assist in variance assessments.
- Lead the development of reporting metrics, tools, and conduct complex, ad-hoc analysis as required.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and a proven ability in cost analysis.
- Experience with SAP is required.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Proven experience working with site leadership and engaging with all levels of the organization to increase cost awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Autonomous and able to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to accuracy and reliability in data management.
- Ability to think critically, manage multiple priorities, and set objectives and milestones.
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Slides.
- Previous experience communicating with senior management or senior organizational stakeholders.
Salary : $60 - $65
