Material Handler II

LOCATION: Monroe, NC
DIRECT REPORTING: Production Supervisor
FUNCTIONAL REPORTING: Manufacturing
POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
this person will conduct duties of a material handler, moving parts, assisting machinist with collecting tooling, and conducting 6s.
Principal Activities
Operate forklift to load and unload material
Assist machinist with collecting tooling and checking gauge expirations
Maintain proper 6s throughout the Rotor Shop
Perform other duties as necessary
Candidate Requirements
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Forklift experience a plus
Familiarity with JDE
Attention to detail is critical
Must work with sense of urgency
Effective communication and problem solving skills
Must have excellent verbal communication skills
Must support and work in a team environment
Must be able to lift 25 lbs on a frequent basis and be able to work standing and walking most of the day
Excellent attendance record and solid performance record
Must be eligible to work in the US without employer sponsorship
Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Must have good reading skills and basic math skills
9-12 Months
