Assembly Technician

Job Summary:

Assembly Technicians are essential members of the production team, responsible for cutting, grinding, fabricating, and installing various pipes, metals, valves, motors, and pumps. This role requires expertise in using a variety of power and hand tools, as well as operating heavy machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all company and industry safety regulations.
• Use appropriate tools to fabricate, assemble, or repair components such as cartridges, skids, and oil reservoirs.
• Interpret technical documents, including DWG, P&ID, schematics, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions.
• Collaborate with team members to efficiently assemble products.
• Plan and execute work to meet production deadlines and schedules.
• Prepare and maintain production documents such as SOPs, batch records, inventory reports, and productivity logs.
• Provide regular progress and changeover reports to shift supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Identify defective items and follow proper handling procedures.
• Select appropriate cleaning materials, tools, and equipment for the job.
• Apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues that arise during the assembly process.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree preferred.
• Experience in pipe bending or plumbing is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong communication skills.
• Physical strength and endurance to operate heavy electrical machinery.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to monitor and adjust production processes for quality and efficiency.
• Basic computer skills for emailing, record-keeping, ordering, inventory management, and form filing.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts as required.
