Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic TRENCH SAFETY sales team. Icon Equipment Distributors, Inc. is a RENTAL and Manufacturing company that has been in business since 1982.
Our products include; Slide Rail Shoring Systems, Steel and Aluminum Trench Boxes, Manhole Boxes, Stone Boxes, Aluminum Hydraulic Shoring and a variety of Steel Plating and Access Matting.
Our customers are primarily companies in the Heavy Civil Infrastructure Markets working on Water and Sewer, Pipeline, Sitework, Excavation and Heavy Highway projects.
Within this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients while driving new sales growth in your designated territory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the Rental and Sales Industry, Account management, and Customer service, with the ability to analyze market trends and negotiate effectively.
Preferred Experience
- RENTAL and or Sales marketing to the Construction Industries listed above or related industries. Icon Equipment is 80% RENTAL and 20% Sale or our products.
Duties
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, construction site visits, office visits, client meetings and networking in order to build up a rental market in your territory.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential clients and understand their needs.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve Rental & Sale targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Utilize CRM or similar software to track sales activities, manage accounts, and report on progress.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful implementation of services.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to promote products and expand your network.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Outside Territory RENTAL and Sale positions, preferably in a related construction field.
- Strong account management skills with the ability to analyze client needs effectively.
- Excellent cold calling techniques and a proactive approach to generating leads.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.
- Proficient in customer service principles, ensuring a positive experience for clients.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM software is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
