Job Overview:
The Desktop Support Analyst II serves as the first point of contact for customers with IT hardware problems, issues, questions, or requests. The primary duties include:
- Interacting with users to understand and document all IT issues
- Installing and maintaining computer systems and peripherals according to established standards and guidelines
- Performing various administrative duties including asset tracking and management, IT inventory maintenance, purchase requisitions, shipping, and general support to other team members
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of IT projects across multiple sites
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first level of IT support for business users across multiple sites
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve user computer problems and implement corrective solutions
- Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software
- Open service requests and manage warranty repairs with hardware vendors
- Manage the new user request process, including configuration, setup, inventory, and testing of new user computers prior to delivery
- Retire old IT assets, including record keeping and appropriate asset disposal
- Follow up on equipment delivered to other sites to ensure proper receipt and setup
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable in TCP IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and network fundamentals
- Technical understanding and knowledge of Windows operating systems and Google applications, specifically Windows 7 and Windows 10
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others
- Demonstrated customer service and support skills
- Resourceful, customer-focused, and a team player
- Positive and winning attitude
Education:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related certifications with three or more years of experience in a similar role
Work Conditions:
- Dexterity of hands and fingers is required to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects
- Participation in training sessions, presentations, and meetings
- Travel required to meet with remote clients or provide support at off-site locations. A valid driver's license is necessary
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- May require work in manufacturing facilities while wearing protective clothing
