We are currently seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Senior Logistics Analyst at ICON, you will be crucial in optimizing and managing logistics operations to ensure the efficient movement and distribution of goods. Your role will involve analyzing logistics data, developing strategies to improve supply chain processes, and collaborating with internal and external partners to support operational excellence and cost-effectiveness.
What You Will Be Doing
- Managing and leading the logistics team this includes: oversight, training, onboarding, and assisting with daily deliverables.
- Oversee the daily workload is managed and inventory is maintained.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure project deliverables are being met.
- Analyzing logistics data and supply chain metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Developing and implementing logistics strategies and solutions to optimize transportation, inventory management, and distribution processes.
- Collaborating with procurement, warehousing, and transportation teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of logistics operations.
- Managing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of logistics strategies and making data-driven recommendations for enhancements.
- Conducting cost analyses and developing budgets to control logistics expenses and improve cost-efficiency.
- Staying updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to integrate innovative solutions into logistics operations.
- Strong managerial experience (3 year experience)
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; (health care or research is acceptable) relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management are advantageous.
- Extensive experience in logistics analysis or supply chain management, with a strong background in data analysis, process optimization, and logistics strategy development.
- Proven ability to manage logistics operations, develop and implement strategies, and analyze performance metrics effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to use excel, generate reports, and communicate results in meetings and audits.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
