Description :
We are looking for a highly skilled Industrial Engineer with a strong focus on Learning & Development to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance workforce capabilities within our suspension division. This role will play a key part in driving efficiency, process improvement, and employee training to ensure top-tier manufacturing performance.
As an Industrial Engineer – Learning & Development, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving production processes, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and leading employee training programs to develop a high-performing workforce. Your expertise will directly impact quality, productivity, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
Process Optimization : Analyze and refine manufacturing processes for suspension components—including shocks, coilovers, leaf springs, and control arms—to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall performance.
Standardization & Best Practices : Develop and implement standardized work procedures, process documentation, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality in manufacturing operations.
Tooling Development : Design and implement new production tooling while continuously improving existing tools to enhance production efficiency.
Training & Workforce Development :
Design and lead training programs for new hires, on-the-job training (OJT), refresher courses, and new product introductions.
Utilize Dozuki software to create digital work instructions and interactive training materials accessible via shop floor tablets.
Collaborate with production supervisors and quality assurance teams to align training initiatives with operational goals and industry standards.
Assess employee skill gaps and develop targeted training programs to enhance technical knowledge and improve performance.
Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement : Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to drive efficiency and waste reduction.
Workflow & Capacity Planning : Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and capacity planning to support production targets and streamline operations.
Training Effectiveness & Compliance :
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics to refine learning programs.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards by integrating best practices into training modules.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Act as a technical liaison between manufacturing, engineering, and leadership teams to align process improvements with workforce development initiatives.
Requirements :
Industrial Engineering Expertise : Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, and industrial engineering principles.
Process Improvement Knowledge : Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other optimization techniques.
Technical Skills :
SolidWorks proficiency for process and tooling design.
Manual machining (lathe and mill) experience is a plus.
Experience with Dozuki or similar digital training software.
Training & Development Skills :
Ability to simplify complex manufacturing concepts and effectively train employees.
Experience designing and implementing structured training programs.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities : Strong capability to analyze process inefficiencies, develop solutions, and implement improvements.
Communication & Collaboration : Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with teams at all levels.
Detail-Oriented & Organized : Ability to manage multiple projects and training initiatives while maintaining high attention to detail.
