Essential Functions, Job Duties, and Responsibilities :
A QA / QC Manager follows up on the daily implementation of construction and ensures that quality of the work being delivered by the project team is in compliance with project quality plan, procedures, and instructions.
In addition to monitoring and managing the quality of the project, a QA / QC Manager implements and safely executes commissioning and handover of the relevant systems and phases of the project on schedule, per specifications, and on budget.
Attends preconstruction meeting with the subcontractors 3 weeks before work start and discuss the submittals approval, any outstanding RFIs, and material.
Monitors implementation of the Project Quality Management and quality Control System through daily site assessments and regular audits and reviews.
Establishes and monitors subcontractors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure quality performance in different areas of the project and at various project Phases.
Develops, monitors, and ensures QA / QC requirements are communicated and incorporated into every subcontractors activity, delivered materials, and purchase Orders.
Conducts field reviews and inspections of ongoing and completed work to verify competency and accuracy with respect to approved construction methods and applications.
Follows up on action items and maintains status register.
Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
Prepares testing and commissioning method statements in coordination with vendors, contractor, subcontractor representative's and project owners representative.
Coordinates the preparation of the final handing over documents such as QC QA documents, reports etc.
Creates and monitors the quality of the punch list.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Bachelors degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, or related field from an accredited university preferred.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal); and ability to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and subcontractors.
An experience of at least 6 years in the implementation of QA / QC practices.
LAUSD projects with DSA experience preferred.
ICC / OSHPD Inspector with current California State Certification preferred.
Good working knowledge & QA / QC implementation.
