Banquet Manager Job Description
The Banquet Manager is responsible for coordinating the delivery of all food and beverage for functions occurring on the resort's property and ensuring that all details pertaining to events in banquet and meeting rooms meet ICONA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Control and Quality Service: Achieve maximum profitability and overall success by controlling costs and quality of service.
- Scheduling and Staff Management: Complete weekly schedules, schedule staff as necessary to ensure adequate and consistent levels of service.
- Equipment and Supply Management: Control banquet china, cutlery, glassware, linen, and equipment.
- Service Standards and Procedures: Consistently implement services standards and operating procedures in the banquet service.
- Event Management and Team Supervision: Manage events and team members throughout setup, service, and breakdown.
- Team Development and Performance Evaluation: Encourage a positive work environment through teamwork, energy, enthusiasm, and appreciation. Evaluate team members' performance based on clearly communicated standards and expectations.
- Safety and Security: Follow procedures to maintain the safety and security of all team members, guests, and company assets (building, cash, equipment, supplies).
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Uphold company food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our guests and team members.
- Communication and Guest Satisfaction: Maintain communication with banquet chef and event organizers.
