Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient treatment plans by scheduling appointments and follow-ups.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options and financial responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Athenahealth.
- Utilize phone systems to handle incoming calls, answer inquiries, and provide information about services.
- Assist with clerical duties including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Ensure familiarity with ICD-9 codes for accurate billing and insurance processing.
- Provide support to the dental team by preparing necessary materials for patient treatments.
- Foster a welcoming environment for patients by addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is required.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software applications relevant to dental practices.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology to facilitate effective communication with staff and patients.
- Experience with clerical tasks including 10 key typing for data entry accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and team members.
