Our client, a leading automotive company, is seeking a dedicated professional for a key role in their Kokomo, IN location. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with union experience to join a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Work in varying temperature environments, both hot and cold.
- Operate around heavy equipment or manufacturing machinery.
- Frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Work in tight or enclosed spaces.
- Regularly climb ladders, use man lifts, stairs, and crawl under vehicles if necessary.
- Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ensure the production plan is met, analyze issues, drive and implement continuous improvement activities for sustainable solutions.
- Lead efforts to improve safety in the area and enforce the use of mandated safety tools and procedures.
- Understand and address losses during shifts, coordinate World Class Manufacturing activities, and improve zone performances.
- Proactively analyze quality KPIs, prioritize quality issues, and guide team leaders effectively.
- Ensure proper allocation of personnel, manage absenteeism, and train and build effective teams.
- Possess knowledge of the broader manufacturing organization and mobilize support groups to assist in problem-solving activities.
- Actively participate and lead Kaizen project activities focused on safety, cost, quality, throughput improvements, and waste reduction.
