Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control processes to optimize stock levels.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage workflows.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouse equipment and facilities to maintain operational standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes related to e-commerce fulfillment.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role within the logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce operations and supply chain management.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management practices.
- Experience with AS400 or similar inventory control systems is a plus.
