The Rhode Island Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Grant Project Specialist through December 2026 to oversee the administration of educational grants supporting Rhode Island’s Adult Basic Education (ABE) programs and providers. Additionally, the Grant Project Specialist will provide technical assistance, conduct compliance checks, and analyze program data to assess effectiveness and impact.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the development and submission of the federal Education Innovation and Research grant proposal.
- Collaborate with educators, stakeholders, and team members to gather data and insights on work-based learning in computer science.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis to support grant objectives and outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain detailed budgets and financial reports related to the grant.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines throughout the grant process.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders on project findings and progress.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of all grant-related activities and communications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in grant writing, management, and submission processes.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with a strong aptitude for using relevant software tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management related to grant funding.
- Knowledge of computer science education and work-based learning practices is a plus.
