ICR has immediate opportunities available for experienced and motivated System Administrators. This role will support the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) program supporting high-priority, no-fail missile warning mission operations. Your actions in the capacity of this position will be in direct support of U.S. National Security and Defense.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Installation and configuration of workstations and servers in accordance with a defined baseline
- Troubleshoot systems running RedHat Enterprise Linux 7/8
- Security, system hardening, system integrity, system backup, and continuous monitoring/auditing of deployed systems
- Patch / package management, third-party software installation and maintenance
- Management/upload/burn of ingoing/outgoing Data Transfers
- Manage VMware virtualization infrastructure
- Server installation and configuration
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues while documenting and communicating technical discovery results effectively to technical and non-technical user groups
- Work with Government partners to ensure communications with required systems and data sources are available.
- Networking configuration in a mixed Linux environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hold current TS/SCI security clearance
- A 4-year degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, other relevant technical field, or equivalent experience
- Assisting App Developers and DevOps personnel with the issues arising from the deployment of their applications
- Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Enthusiastic, dynamic self-starter able to own issues to conclusion
- High level of self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Good organization, decision-making, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
- Security certification
- Minimum three (3) years of Linux admin experience
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Candidates who have at least one/two years of ongoing professional experience in one or more of the following areas will be preferred:
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 8/9
- Dell switches, servers, or SAN
- VMware vSphere
- Experience with Kubernetes (RedHat Openshift preferred)
- RHCSA / RHCE
- Network-attached storage (NAS) and/or Storage Area Network (SAN) configuration and maintenance
- Automation using shell / bash scripting/ perl / python / powershell
- CI/CD or Gitlab Runners
- Configuration management using Ansible or similar
- Docker or Rootless Podman
Salary Range: $100,000-$140,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
