Vulnerability Researcher (Mid-Level) - Fully Cleared

ICR has opportunities available for fully cleared, experienced and motivated VR engineers with at least 5-7 years' software and reverse engineering experience. Successful candidates will be strong engineers who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery.

- Conduct offensive and defensive research on embedded hardware and software
- Perform system security analysis on systems and/or software to understand and identify vulnerabilities
- Program effectively in C, C , Java, and Python
- Reverse engineering of binary applications, protocols and formats
- Requirements derivation, detailed design, and development of complex software systems
- Document and communicate technical research results effectively to technical and non-technical user groups
- Design, conduct, and document results of detailed unit testing of developed systems using a testing framework
- Lead team technical coordination with customers, including requirement development, project tasking, and reporting
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have an active Top Secret or Higher Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant, full-time work experience in low level systems programming, analysis, reverse engineering, exploits, and vulnerability research
- Proficiency in programming, scripting and query languages relevant to reverse engineering (e.g., C, C , Assembly, Java, Python, Bash, and SQL)
- Proficiency with reverse engineering tools (e.g., Ghidra, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja) and debugging tools
- Experience with ARM / MIPS / PPC assembly languages
- Knowledge of operating systems internals, firmware, and protocols
- Understanding of static and dynamic software analysis tools and techniques
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with analysis of RF communication systems and protocols
- Experience developing on and debugging embedded systems, real time operating systems, and FPGA development
- Familiarity with Android and BASH scripting
- Network protocol engineering (reversing or designing protocols); knowledge of Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.
- Virtualization Technology Experience (Android Emulators, VMWare, Linux KVM, etc.)
- Experience with IDA Pro plugin and script development
- Knowledge of common wired and wireless network protocol structures
Salary Range: $78,853 - $167,565
