About the Role - The GM is responsible for the overall management of the business unit, including production, operations, sales, project management, and customer relations. This individual will play a key role in driving the profitable growth and success of the business.
Responsibilities
- Direct management and leadership of all personnel in the fabrication and welding areas.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and increase productivity.
- Responsible for enforcement of the Company’s Safety Plan and for safe work practices.
- Forecasts sales, drive growth and profitability.
- Oversee production processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to expand the customer base and increase revenue.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and control operating costs and expenses.
- Responsible for enforcement of the Company’s Safety Plan and for safe work practices.
Qualifications - 5 years of experience in steel fabrication and erection business. Have a current California State Contractors Board C51 license or be willing to test to be qualified as RME on Company license.
