Job Summary: The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, as well as hands on tasks such as preparation of journal entries, processing of invoices and completion of account reconciliations. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting policies/procedures.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for business decisions.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including the preparation of annual budgets, monitoring budget performance, and analyzing variances.
- Oversee revenue recognition processes to ensure accurate and timely recording of revenue in accordance with accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in NetSuite is essential; experience with other accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with tight deadlines. M&A accounting experience preferred

Salary : $125,000 - $150,000
