Job Requirements:
ICR is a strategic advisory and communications firm ranked Top 5 for financial services PR and IR and technology PR. ICR currently seeks a highly motivated individual for an entry level position in its Tech PR group. Although this position requires some administrative account work, it also includes significant involvement with clients as it relates to various aspects of the tech industry including connected cars, Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, ecommerce, fintech and more. The position will be an integral part of a growing team, and the right candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with a great deal of personal and professional responsibility. There is a tremendous opportunity for this candidate to learn from ICR senior leadership, direct client and press interactions, and be groomed for advancement.
Responsibilities:
- General account support, including some account-related admin and clerical work
- Compiling daily media monitoring reports
- Drafting account / program updates for clients
- Maintaining account activity trackers / dashboards
- Conducting company / market research
- All manner of media-related activities including:
- compiling and maintaining media lists
- drafting reporter profiles and briefing materials
- creating pitches and proactively engaging reporters
- Assisting with message development and copywriting for pitches and bylined articles
- Supporting clients at events, speaking engagements and trade shows
- Overall implementation of strategic PR campaigns / programs
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of relevant agency or client-side PR experience, showing proven editorial placements in business and technology media
- Excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills; able to work quickly under pressure, handling and prioritizing multiple assignments
- Ability to manage tasks, times, and meet weekly/monthly KPIs in a virtual work environment
- Creative and energetic personality
- Exceptional attention to detail and deadlines
- Understanding of enterprise technology trends and evolving PR landscape (earned/owned/paid media)
- Previous experience working with enterprise technology and financial tech highly preferred
- B.S/B.A in public relations, marketing, business communications or related field preferred
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
