ICR, a leading strategic communications firm and registered Broker Dealer, is seeking a motivated professional to join its highly regarded Capital Markets Advisory firm, ICR Capital LLC and support a senior capital markets team in ICR Healthcare.
The ICR Healthcare capital markets team is a leader in providing IPO and other capital markets advisory services to healthcare companies across biotech, medical technology, life sciences tools & diagnostics and healthcare technology & services.
Responsibilities: The Senior Associate will be an important member of the team and will:
- Support a team of 2 senior leaders in ICR Healthcare in providing capital markets advisory services to clients as they plan and execute late-stage private capital raises, initial public offerings (IPOs) and follow-on offerings.
- Conduct background research on target private companies using databases like Pitchbook, company websites and other research tools
- Prepare pitch presentations, spreadsheets and other deliverables to potential and existing clients using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Maintain key databases including:
- target private companies across the four healthcare sub-sectors using Pitchbook and Capital IQ
- venture, growth equity and crossover investors (globally)
- analysis of detailed equity transaction data using Dealogic and Factset to determine key transaction & trading metrics and syndicate details for IPOs and follow-ons
- valuation metrics
- basic comps analysis
- Continually monitor equity new issue activity
- Effectively communicate with peers in investment banking coverage, capital markets and equity research
Qualifications:
- 2 years prior Investment Banking or Capital Markets experience, Healthcare preferred
- High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Pitchbook, Dealogic and Fact Set. Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ is helpful
- Ability to perform basic financial and valuation analysis
- Familiarity with the equity markets
- General corporate finance knowledge
- Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
- Team player
- Attention to detail is critical
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree. Finance, Economics, Business, or Management majors preferred
Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
