Responsibilities and Duties
- In-house and on-site troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair computer hardware, software, and peripheral component issues (including virus/malware removal and data recovery).
- System Setup: Install and configure computer systems, printers, and software programs (including reinstallation).
- Customer Follow-ups: Schedule appointments and follow up with customers to ensure timely resolutions.
- System Monitoring: Monitor client system failure notifications and alert the appropriate parties.
- Network Installation & Management: Install and manage network components (servers, routers, IP addresses, etc.).
- Technical Support: Provide prompt, clear, and effective support, educating users on how to use their computers and resolve issues.
Qualifications and Skills
- Basic Technical Knowledge: Experience with PC and Mac setup/configuration and troubleshooting (must be able to diagnose, repair, and test computer issues).
- Network Knowledge: Basic understanding of LAN/WAN networks.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to solve issues that may not have an immediate solution, utilizing resources effectively.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate clearly with customers, listen actively to understand issues, and offer repair/replacement options.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management and multitasking skills to stay on top of multiple tasks.
- Experience: Entry-level position, but at least 2 years of related technical experience or demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting is preferred.
- Willingness to Learn: Must have a passion for learning and staying up-to-date with new technology.
- Requirements: Valid CA Driver’s License and reliable transportation (required). Only candidates living in the San Fernando Valley Area will be considered.
