Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Reports To: Shipping Manager

Position Type / Hours: Full time; M-F 11:30am-8:00pm, weekends when needed

Objective: The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is committed to providing exceptional value to customers by efficiently and accurately processing and shipping orders, with a results-oriented approach. Through strong attention to detail and discipline, they ensure that all customers and vendors receive exactly what they ordered, contributing to an excellent customer experience.

Essential Functions:

· Work with our shipping software to ship customer orders directly

· Pack orders into large boxes and/or onto pallets and prepare the pallet for shipment

· Sort and put away mail when received

· Update inventory system as needed

· Ship DTC (Direct to Customer) and stock/vendor orders as needed

· Use forklift to load and unload trucks when needed

· Communicate needs for orders and follow up frequently

· Communicate with the sales department when issues with orders arise

· Occasionally work in other departments when there is downtime

· Other duties assigned by management

Goals and Metrics:

· Ship 100% of fulfillable customer orders received by 3pm daily

· Weekly efficiency reports meeting at least 80% efficiency.

· Quality of 99.5%

· Thorough attention to detail

· Ability to analyze stock levels and place reasonable orders

· Excellent memory

· Willingness to work short shifts on weekends to ship necessary orders

· Ability to learn other departments’ jobs and retain the skills for when downtime arises

· Must be able to drive a forklift or be willing to learn

· Comfortable with regular computer use

Work Environment:

· Forklift operation

· Warehouse environment

· Climate controlled

· Casual dress

Physical Demands:

· Long periods of standing

· Some heavy lifting required (40 )

· Long periods of paying close attention to small writing

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
