- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical gondola components.
- Ensure compliance with ANSI safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Stay trained on emergency response procedures, including rope evacuations.
- Work at heights and in extreme weather conditions to keep the gondola operational.
- Assist with procuring materials, maintaining records, and supporting special projects.
- Act as a leader in the absence of the Gondola Maintenance Supervisor / Lead.
- 5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance, repair, or related fields.
- Ability to climb, lift up to 100 lbs, and work at high elevations.
- Familiarity with tramway blueprints, hydraulics, wire ropes, and controls.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Willingness to live and work in a remote Alaskan community and travel via small plane or ferry.
- Prior tramway maintenance experience.
- Current Rope Access or Fall Protection certifications.
- Experience with wire rope splicing and socketing.
- Outdoor work at high elevations, in all weather conditions.
- Physically demanding tasks, including hiking trails, lifting heavy equipment, and working at heights.
- Non-smoking facility with designated outdoor smoking areas.
