General Summary: An exempt position responsible for supervising the daily operations related to the ID Care infusion suites, rendering safe, comprehensive, and appropriate infusion care to patients while following clinical practice standards of ID Care, OSHA and HIPAA; collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs; provides support for patients and staff
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Assists with selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and ensuring staff is adhering to ID Care policies and procedures.
2. Maintains current knowledge of documentation requirements; provides education to clinical staff and monitors adherence of documentation in ECW.
3. Assures quality of care by enforcing ID Care policy, HIPAA and OSHA adherence, as well as State nurse practice act requirements. 4. Fill in and cover infusion hours during staff call-outs, ensuring continuity of patient care and maintaining service levels.
5. Maintains safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, andregulations and ensuring staff adhere to ID Care policies and procedures.
6. Protect patients and employees by ensuring staff abide by ID Care control policies and protocols; enforcing medication administration and storage procedures.
7. Other duties including:
- Quarterly infusion template
- Review daily nursing updates. Ensure infusion receptionists are adding information to logs and schedule specialty patients according to date/schedule
- Monthly NP/MD scheduling in public folders to ensure proper provider coverage during infusions.
- Monthly weekend and holiday per diem scheduling as well as call outs (float/travel if needed). Will cover an ID Care infusion suite if census becomes unmanageable for one nurse.
- collecting and maintaining cleaning, expiration date and emergency equipment logs
- Manage infusion inventory in hybrent inventory system and all infusion offices
- Supply and medication ordering
- Check the daily superbills for accuracy
- Organize initial upon hire and annual competency for all infusion clinical staff
- Update the clinical policies and procedures annually
- Assists with the rollout of new equipment including pumps and IV related supplies
Job Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the oversight of the Infusion RN’s and Infusion Per Diem staff
Requirements
ID Care requires all staff been vaccinated against the Flu annually. Other vaccine requirements are MMR, Varicella, TDAP, PPD, and Hepatitis B.
Education: RN from accredited school of nursing.
Experience: Minimum three years of professional nursing experience
Other Requirements: Current state RN. Current CPR certificate

- Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety hazards and standards, and health care laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of principles of employee development to ensure appropriate training and mentoring of staff.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Skill in applying and modifying, as appropriate, the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing.
- Skill in developing and maintaining high level of quality care/quality assurance.
- Skill in exercising high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making.

4. Ability to demonstrate full range of motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye–hand coordination.
Equipment Operated: Standard nursing equipment and office equipment including computer hardware and software.
Work Environment: Combination of office, exam, and other clinical settings. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic setting.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasional stress caused by multitasking and level of responsibility.
