Position Overview: The Assistant General Manager will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency in a cross-dock facility within a 3PL environment. This role involves overseeing the movement of product, implementing effective processes, and ensuring timely coordination of inbound and outbound operations. The Assistant General Manager will collaborate closely with the General Manager to lead a talented team, foster a productive work environment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm with flexibility as needed

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the General Manager to execute operational strategies focused on optimizing cross-docking processes for non-perishable goods.
- Oversee and mentor team members, fostering a culture of professional development and teamwork to enhance overall performance and morale.
- Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational efficiency and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Facilitate seamless communication between inbound and outbound operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain well-organized and safe workspace by strictly adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
- Manage inventory levels and participate in audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Lead initiatives aimed at optimizing service efficiency and fostering a continuous improvement among the team.

Requirements:
- 7 years management experience in logistics, cross-dock or distribution operations.
- P&L experience.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a logistics or supply chain environment, preferably in a 3PL setting.
- Strong understanding of cross-docking operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess operations, identify improvement opportunities, and implement effective strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and build cohesive teams while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, databases, WMS, and other metrics measurement tools.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate coordination among team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on operational excellence.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the operation's needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- 3PL experience
- Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles preferred.
Salary : $120,000 - $125,000
