Role Overview :
ID.me is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager IV to lead the Browser Extension (Marketplaces) team. This role focuses on enhancing the experience of our 137M members by leveraging ID.me's browser extensions for both desktop and mobile browsers. Key initiatives include delivering personalized e-commerce offers , streamlining login with passkeys and persistent sessions, and protecting users from scams and fraudulent sites. This role is a highly critical leadership position and has a direct impact on ID.me's revenue by driving user engagement, increasing conversions, and enhancing the security and trust of our marketplace. You will lead a talented group of engineers working on cutting-edge browser extension technology to maximize monetization opportunities and customer retention.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Define and execute the technical vision for the Browser Extension team, ensuring a seamless and secure customer experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Security, Compliance, and Infrastructure to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices , including code reviews, automated testing, and deployment pipelines to ensure system reliability and maintainability.
- Manage team performance , set goals, and drive accountability to meet business objectives.
- Provide technical and strategic leadership , advocating for best-in-class engineering methodologies and tools.

The annual base salary listed does not include a company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity and benefits which will be determined based on experience, skills, education, relevant training, geographic location and role.
