Position Highlights and Benefits: The position provides leadership opportunities Opportunity to influence change and lead teams Position is located at the Boise Regional Medical Campus Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or Health Related Science field required Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required,5 years of relevant experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting Must have experience in human relations, communications and management skills What You Will Do: Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Hires, trains, orients, and promotes teamwork and mentors department colleagues. Plans, prepares and coordinates work schedules to provide adequate coverage and efficient use of team to maintain high department productivity. Plans, develops, prepares and maintains assigned procedure manuals according to regulatory requirements. Ensures that department or shift personnel provide accurate and timely testing results in accordance with laboratory standards. Hires, trains, orients, and promotes teamwork and mentors department staff. Ensures that QC testing and proficiency testing is performed, recorded and evaluated according to established guidelines and that out-of-control results are resolved in a timely manner.
