Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner specializing in Infectious Diseases at ID-Squad in Frisco, TX. You will be responsible for providing patient care, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, promoting infection control, and collaborating with the ID Squad team. You will be consulting patients within a network of several major hospitals, long term acute care facilities and patient rehabilitation centers (must be willing to travel).
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
- ACTIVE PA / NP Certification and TX license required
- ACTIVE DEA License in the state of TX
- CPR (BLS and ACLS) Certifications
- Experience managing infectious diseases in a clinical setting
- Demonstrate problem-solving and workflow management skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience as an PA / NP within a clinical or outpatient/inpatient setting
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, blood tests, and referring for imaging as needed
- Follow established protocols and take on independent responsibilities for assessing, diagnosing, and initiating treatment and procedures
- Adhere to all relevant medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices through continuous professional development. Meet CME requirements for certification and licensure
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the EMR system
- Report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director
- You will work closely with site physicians and collaborate with our dedicated clinic team to provide appropriate care
- Monday-Friday rounding at assigned Rehab Centers / Nursing Facilities in Frisco | Plano | McKinney
- ONE weekend is required per month as additional coverage support our team of 7 Physicians.
Preferred Experience
- At least 3 years of clinical experience as an NP within a clinical or outpatient/inpatient setting
- Experience in Infectious Disease specialty preferred
- Knowledge with EMRs - eClinicalWorks, EPIC, pMD

Salary : $95,000 - $120,000
