Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Scale Operator. As a Scale Operator, you will be responsible for accurately weighing and documenting haylage and silage that is delivered by truck. You are also responsible for coordinating trucks and operators. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our dairies and maintaining accurate records. This position is seasonal and has very flexible hours depending how many scale houses we have running.
Responsibilities:
- Operate scales to accurately weigh materials
- Record weights and measurements in the appropriate documentation systems
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
- Perform basic math calculations to determine weights and quantities
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Scale Operator or in a similar role preferred but not necessary
- Familiarity with EZ Weights system and Excel is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Basic math skills for weight calculations
- Ability to have flexible hours
- Proficient in operating scales and computers is a plus
We are an agricultural company and work on a tight deadline during harvest season. The hours are long but offer good pay. There is opportunity for learning new skills and jobs. $1 raise is offered after one month and depending on job performance.
