What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Coordinator position at Idaho Association of Counties?
The Idaho Association of Counties (IAC) is seeking a creative and experienced Event Coordinator to take our event planning to the next level. Help us plan events that provide continuing education opportunities for county elected officials, showcase the importance of Idaho counties, and afford creative networking opportunities for policy makers. As the Event Coordinator, you will work closely with IAC leadership to plan IAC’s marquee conferences and events.
Responsibilities
- Planning all aspects of IAC’s Annual Conference, Midwinter Legislative Conference, and Spring and Fall County Official Institutes (COI)
- Planning all aspects of Idaho Sheriffs’ Association (ISA), Idaho Association of County Assessors (IACA), and Idaho State Association of County Coroners (ISACC) conferences and events
- Assisting the Executive Director and Director of Operations in preparing the annual budget for the association
Skills & Qualifications
- Superior organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong customer service and relationship building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to develop and manage web-based registrations for events
- Competency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and the Adobe Creative Suite programs including InDesign
While not required, the ideal candidate will also possess:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university
- Experience planning large events with over 300 attendees and multiple workshop blocks and general sessions
Compensation
Compensation for the position starts at $65,000 annually. Candidates with exceptional experience and skills can expect a higher starting salary.
