Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Collaborate with the CIO to define and execute the organization’s IT strategy, aligning technology investments with business goals.
- Lead the development and implementation of enterprise IT systems that enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and member experience.
- Establish short- and long-term departmental goals that contribute to the Credit Union’s overall success.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT team, ensuring continuous growth through training, supervision, and strategic talent placement.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across the IT department.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee IT budgets, including personnel, infrastructure, communications, e-commerce, and core business systems, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Ensure all IT and business systems meet or exceed established service level expectations.
- Develop and maintain the Business Continuity Plan, including annual IT disaster recovery readiness testing.
Vendor and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and alignment with organizational needs.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify and address evolving business requirements.
Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, maintaining the security and integrity of data, systems, and infrastructure.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and training programs that support regulatory compliance and risk management.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance organizational agility, scalability, and competitiveness.
- Analyze current systems and processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, cost savings, and quality.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including managing complex projects, large-scale systems, and high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership to drive strategic decision-making and business alignment.
- Expertise in IT governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to innovate and adapt in a rapidly evolving technological environment.

- Provide innovative solutions to align technology with business needs and member expectations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor, high standards of work quality, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (e.g., typing, filing).
- Sit for extended periods and occasionally lift 20-40 pounds.
- Use standard office equipment and perform repetitive motion tasks.
