Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for a Cardiology Manager to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Cardiology will oversee daily operations in both non-invasive and invasive cardiac imaging. Working in conjunction with the Medical Director the areas of responsibility would include Operational and Capital budgets, quality control and improvement, program development and departmental education. The Manager will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with other hospital department managers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Cardiology Manager)
1. Oversee the daily workflow, staffing, orientation, training and development of employees within the department. The modalities included in this department are Cardiac Catheterization, while working in close collaboration with the interventional radiology staff and leadership teams.
2. Idaho Falls Community Hospital also has a Hybrid OR. The Cardiology Manager will work closely with the Surgical Services Manager to facility high quality care within that theater.
3. Responsible for creating ongoing quality and performance measuring, reporting and improvement opportunities within the department and supporting those of the hospital.
4. Support, create and interpret policies and procedures for the department and the hospital.
5. Monitor patient volumes, quality of care and performance of staff to assure care of the patient that is of the highest caliber and a working atmosphere for the staff that is the measure for the region.
6. Monitors department measures on a regular basis to evaluate important clinical and financial data points.
7. Develops, presents and defends an annual departmental operational budget that supports the financial goals of the hospital, while ensuring optimization of all potential revenue.
8. Investigates capital budget requests from physicians or staff. Determines the appropriate equipment, vendor and price.
9. Use problem solving and conflict resolution skills to foster effective work relationships.

Qualifications
Education/Certification: Must have an unencumbered Idaho Registered Nurse License or a graduate of an accredited Allied Health Sciences. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in management in the cardiac setting or comparable department. Prior experience as a member of the department working in one of the diagnostics/therapeutic included in this department is a plus.
Equipment/Technology: Valid experience with cardiac imaging technology as well as prior experience with an electronic medical record required. Cerner experience is recommended.
Language/Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate as a team member.
Mathematical Skills: Must have good working knowledge of mathematical skills related to cardiac care as well as being versed in excel and financial evaluations for budgets and Profit and Loss evaluation.
Mental Capabilities: Abilities to multitask and solve problems on a global and interpersonal level.
Interpersonal: Must be able to establish and lead teams of nurses, physicians and other support personnel within the department as well as other managers within the facility.
Performance: Performance will be judged by nurse retention and satisfaction surveys. Performance will also be judged by accurate financial planning and budget attainment.
