Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for a Radiology Technologist Assistant to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY: The Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting the Radiologic Technologist with patients during the imaging process. The assistant will be one of the first contacts for patients, physicians, and other medical staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In a professional and friendly manner, answers incoming phone calls, dispenses exam preparations and instructions, and responds to general imaging questions.
- Assists clinical personnel in transferring patients to exam table, bed, fluoro chair, etc. Assists Radiologic Technologist with procedures. Prepares patients for exams and explains procedure to patients. Prepares room for exam with all needed supplies and imaging equipment, under direction of the technologist assist with X-ray exams following department protocols.
- Assists the schedulers, technologists, and other coworkers in the department as needed with various responsibilities relating to radiology and medical imaging.
- Assists with documentation for appropriate patient information necessary for exam interpretation and patient care and submitting images to radiology PACS and electronic medical record system.

Qualifications
- Education/Certification: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Currently enrolled in a Surgical Technology Program (Successful completion of an accredited program a year of initial employment).
- Experience: No experience required
